ReIGNITE Hope is a unique training program that started on Skid Row in
downtown Los Angeles teaching valuable
job skills to men and women, many of whom have been homeless, gang members and ex-offenders.
We teach students a marketable job skill, giving them dignity and enabling them to provide for their families re-igniting a hope for their future.
We mentor students seeking to turn their lives around by teaching them important life skills through our faith-based program.
We help place students in good-paying jobs after graduation through our network of employers and unions who are actively looking for qualified welders.
We continue to replicate our job training program in cities across the United States and around the world.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there is a shortage of 350,000 welders nationwide. This is one of the many skilled trades that are in high demand.
Our students have the power to change their lives for the better, gained from the support and skills they attain in our free, hands-on classroom. ReIGNITE Hope helps students get certified in the welding trade and our program assists with job placement after graduation.
To date, ReIGNITE Hope has trained over 900 men and women as certified welders. We are proud of the statistic that 100% of our students passed their welding certification exam given by the American Welding Society on the very first try.
Our partnerships with private companies and unions provide our students with job placement soon after graduation. In addition to vocational support, we have created an environment where former students return as coaches to the newcomers while continuing their education and receiving additional certifications.
Many of our former students now earn good salaries that have been life-changing for their families. Still others have joined unions and are building up pension --- a dream that once seemed far out of reach.
