100 Bicycle Ambulances Arrive in the Congo

Our students built 100 bicycle ambulances we donated and shipped to the Covenant Churches in the Congo. Hospitals and clinics are often 20 miles away from remote villages. Wheel barrows are the typical method of transportation for the sick and injured. A child with the end stages of malaria or a pregnant woman with complications may not survive the trip. Attached to a bicycle or motorcycle, the ambulance can arrive in just a fraction of the time...saving lives. Each ambulance is said to save one life a week.
